At Balance Mental Health, we are dedicated to providing holistic and affirming mental health care. Our team celebrates diversity and actively works to recognize and honor the strengths of every client, including those across the neurodivergent and LGBTQIA+ spectrums. Balance Mental Health is not just a service provider; we are active members of the communities we serve, with more than half our staff identifying as LGBTQIA and/or Neurodivergent themselves.

Carolyn Mallon, DNP, Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, Practice Owner (she/her)
My goal is to create a comfortable, safe space where we work together toward what matters most to you. I provide psychiatric evaluations and medication management with genuine attention to each person’s individual needs, circumstances, and concerns… because no two people, or paths forward, are the same.
My approach is grounded in compassion, acceptance, and collaboration. I want you to feel heard, not just assessed. Whether we’re navigating a new diagnosis, adjusting a medication, or simply figuring out next steps, you won’t be doing it alone.
I offer sensitive, inclusive care for everyone. I am both neurodivergent and LGBTQIA+-identifying and affirming, and I bring that lived understanding into the room. I utilize an informed consent framework for letters of medical necessity for gender-affirming surgery for those over 18, and I am a proud member of the GALAP network, providing free letters for those without insurance coverage.
Outside of the office, you might find me deep in a sci-fi series or experimenting with plant-based cooking.

My practice is founded on the belief that the patient-provider relationship is a partnership. You bring the expertise about yourself and your life experiences and I bring my knowledge and expertise on diagnosis and treatment options. Together we will work toward your goals in a supportive, inclusive, compassionate, and confidential environment.
I am a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner but also have a 10-year background in family practice caring for people of all ages and stages in life. My background in both primary care and palliative care makes me especially skilled in providing compassionate care for people suffering from complex chronic illnesses or complicated grief. I also have an LGBTQIA+-affirming practice and utilize an informed consent framework regarding letters of medical necessity for gender-affirming surgery.
I believe every person’s life is a unique and personal journey. My goal is to create a safe, welcoming, and non-judgmental space where your individual preferences and goals are honored and respected.
I value collaboration and take a strengths-based approach, focusing on your abilities, interests, and aspirations. I am committed to promoting self-determination and empowering you to make choices that shape your life. My practice is LGBTQIA+ and neurodivergent affirming, ensuring an inclusive environment where everyone feels seen and supported.
With nearly three decades of nursing experience, I understand that growth and learning are lifelong processes. I am here to support your holistic well-being — mental, emotional, physical, and social — as you navigate your path forward. It is an honor to join you on your journey toward greater health and fulfillment.

As a therapist, my practice focuses on mindfully helping people find and create purposeful pathways towards healing. I use well-known methods like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and I mix them with a layered and nuanced appreciation for the human endeavor.
In life, we often absorb and integrate difficult experiences, which in turn can lead to great suffering. I will work to empower you to write your own story with fresh ink sourced from new understandings.
The most important part of my practice is cultivating a safe space where you can speak about matters of great emotional vulnerability, knowing your experiences will be honored. I’m a strong supporter of the LGBTQIA+ community, and make sure everyone feels welcome and accepted.
You are brave in considering exploring this deeper learning of yourself. I welcome teaching you how to better create, as well as deliver to yourself, gifts born from this courage. Your path to wellness begins, as well as appears, the moment you choose it. I would be honored to walk it with you.

As a therapist, I strive to make my relationship with my patients a collaborative one. Recognizing that therapy is a highly personalized experience, I tailor each session to meet the unique needs of the individual before me. Utilizing a trauma-informed approach, I create a safe and judgment-free space where we can explore your thoughts and feelings. Meeting you where you are at in your journey, I aim to support your growth and self-discovery.
My specialty is Autism and ADHD in adults and I identify as a proud neurodivergent myself. I find immense joy in accompanying my clients on their path to understanding themselves as neurodivergent individuals. I cherish learning about your special interests and the things that hold significance for you.
As a strong ally and advocate for the LGBTQ community, I am committed to providing an inclusive and affirming environment.
Let’s work together to navigate your unique path and foster a deeper understanding of yourself.

Stacia Langille, Pre-Licensed Therapist (she/her)
I bring a therapeutic approach grounded in social justice with a strong commitment to fostering an inclusive and affirming environment. My practice integrates trauma-informed client-centered care, emphasizing the importance of honoring intersectional identities.
As a passionate advocate for the neurodiversity movement and a neurodivergent individual (ADHD) myself, I provide support that respects and validates the unique experiences of neurodivergent individuals. Additionally, I center my practice around creating a safe, affirming space for trans, non-binary, and LGBTQ+ individuals to explore their identities and find empowerment.
Collaboration is key to my approach. Together, we will explore how your innate characteristics and lived experiences shape your neuroception and how distress manifests in your life. From there, we’ll work together to develop personalized resources and create a vision of wellness that aligns with your identity and values.

I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor with over 25 years of clinical experience. My own personal journey with mental health challenges has given me a unique perspective and a deeper understanding of the mental health challenges people face. I work to create a space where people can feel heard, seen, and empowered to bring about growth and change. I have been trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. All my work carries the understanding that trauma underlies many of the challenges people face. I have a special interest in working with BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ individuals. I look forward to working with you.
As a therapist, I believe strongly in transparent, informed care. I will always discuss why I am suggesting a certain treatment approach as part of a collaborative process with my patients, and will listen to their suggestions and needs. You are the expert in your own life; my job is to help you move forward on whatever path to healing looks like for you, centering the values and ideals that are important to you.
My clinical focus is in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Narrative Therapy. I strive to be as neuro-affirming as possible, and offer neurodivergent friendly accommodations to the skills offered in traditional therapies, such as DBT. I am aligned with and a strong advocate for the LGBTQ+ community and welcome patients across the gender, sexuality, and relationship spectrums.
In addition to my individual clinical work, I am also a Certified Therapeutic Game Master and run therapeutic Dungeons and Dragons skills groups for adults, using the ACT modality. Games offer us a way to build community, practice skills, and learn more about ourselves, and I am thrilled to integrate games and geek therapy into my practice.

Jennifer Baca, Therapist Intern (she/her)
I am thrilled to join Balance Mental Health as an intern, where I can contribute to their mission of providing compassionate, inclusive, and empathetic care.
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of New Hampshire (2000) and am currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Clinical Social Work with a focus on trauma-informed care at Widener University. I will graduate in May 2026 with an MSW and a trauma certificate, and I plan to continue with additional specialized trauma training and certification.
As a neurodivergent individual, a mother to an autistic son, and a survivor of childhood trauma, I bring a unique perspective to my work. My personal experiences, including the challenges I’ve overcome, allow me to connect deeply with those I serve.
I am passionate about helping individuals recognize that their traumas and coping patterns do not define their worth. My goal is to support them in discovering their authentic selves and to help them feel seen, heard, validated, and safe. Life is not just about survival; I strive to empower people to build the capacity to thrive.
At the heart of my work is a belief in creating a therapeutic space that feels affirming, collaborative, and grounded in compassion. I approach each client’s experience with warmth, curiosity, and deep respect, and I am committed to supporting people in ways that honor their lived experiences.
I am especially passionate about working with LGBTQIA+ clients and individuals navigating eating disorders, body image concerns, and the impacts of diet culture. My approach is rooted in a Health at Every Size (HAES)® and anti-diet framework, and I practice through a trauma-informed lens. I believe healing begins when people feel safe, understood, and supported in reconnecting with their bodies and sense of self – without shame or pressure to change who they are.
As a new clinician, I bring thoughtfulness, openness, and a strong commitment to ongoing learning and growth. I view therapy as a collaborative process and strive to meet clients where they are, honoring their strengths while supporting meaningful change at a pace that feels right for them.
