At Balance Mental Health, we are dedicated to providing holistic and affirming mental health care. Our team celebrates diversity and actively works to recognize and honor the strengths of every client, including those across the neurodivergent and LGBTQIA+ spectrums. Balance Mental Health is not just a service provider; we are active members of the communities we serve, with more than half our staff identifying as LGBTQIA and/or Neurodivergent themselves.
Our Approach
At the heart of our practice is a commitment to client-centered care. We believe in a holistic approach that goes beyond traditional mental health paradigms, considering the diverse needs and strengths of each person. Our team of experienced professionals is passionate about creating a space where everyone feels valued, understood, and supported on their journey to mental well-being.
It is my goal to create a comfortable, safe environment where we will work together toward achieving your goals. I provide psychiatric evaluations and medication management with special attention to each of my client’s individual needs, circumstances, and concerns about medications. My approach is one of compassion, acceptance, and collaboration to give you a sense of comfort and trust. Remember: you’re not alone – I’m here to support you in reaching your goals and feeling your best.
I offer sensitive and inclusive treatment for everyone and I am both neurodivergent and LGBTQIA-identifying and affirming. I utilize an informed consent framework regarding letters of medical necessity for gender-affirming surgery for those over 18. I am also a member of the GALAP network of providers, providing free letters for those without insurance.

As a therapist, my practice focuses on mindfully helping people find and create purposeful pathways towards healing. I use well-known methods like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and I mix them with a layered and nuanced appreciation for the human endeavor.
In life, we often absorb and integrate difficult experiences, which in turn can lead to great suffering. I will work to empower you to write your own story with fresh ink sourced from new understandings.
The most important part of my practice is cultivating a safe space where you can speak about matters of great emotional vulnerability, knowing your experiences will be honored. I’m a strong supporter of the LGBTQIA+ community, and make sure everyone feels welcome and accepted.
You are brave in considering exploring this deeper learning of yourself. I welcome teaching you how to better create, as well as deliver to yourself, gifts born from this courage. Your path to wellness begins, as well as appears, the moment you choose it. I would be honored to walk it with you.

I bring a therapeutic approach grounded in social justice with a strong commitment to fostering an inclusive and affirming environment. My practice integrates trauma-informed client-centered care, emphasizing the importance of honoring intersectional identities.
As a passionate advocate for the neurodiversity movement and a neurodivergent individual (ADHD) myself, I provide support that respects and validates the unique experiences of neurodivergent individuals. Additionally, I center my practice around creating a safe, affirming space for trans, non-binary, and LGBTQ+ individuals to explore their identities and find empowerment.
Collaboration is key to my approach. Together, we will explore how your innate characteristics and lived experiences shape your neuroception and how distress manifests in your life. From there, we’ll work together to develop personalized resources and create a vision of wellness that aligns with your identity and values.
